Habitat of Course

Habitat of Course is the brainchild of award winning horticulturist and landscape designer Monica Higgins, CGM. Monica has designed and maintained sustainable landscapes in the golf course and resort industry for the last 15 years. She is a Certified Grounds Manager, and in 2010 serves as the President of the Professional Grounds Management Society. She has been recognized twice with PGMS Green Star awards for her beautiful and functional golf course plantings. In addition, she's been an Audubon Steward, a Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator (Florida), a frequent author to industry publications, and a past President of the Garden Center Association of Kansas City and the Greater Kansas City branch of PGMS.

Since moving to Florida in 2007, she has been active in the Naples area as a volunteer for the Naples Botanic Gardens and a member of the Florida Native Plant Society, the Naples Orchid Society and the American Orchid Society.
